In Giessen Nieuwkerk is a cooperative freezer with 40 freezers of 200 liters each, that can be rented by 40 families for 60 guilders a year. Also footage of the pickling of the meat in a pickle bath, preserving jars in a cellar, the storing of vegetables, fruit and meat in plastic.
