Work breaks at the beginning and end of the day at a clothing factory in Twente(?) are no longer announced by a siren or something similar, but by a carillon with an automatic chime that has been placed on the roof. SHOTS: - Int. metal factory(?): spinning machines and workers at work; - steam whistle sounds (off screen, only sound is audible); machines stop; workers stoomfluit loeit (buiten beeld, alleen geluid hoorbaar); machines stop; workers drink coffee(?) in the canteen; - ext. and int. large sewing workshop: girls are working behind sewing machines; one hand on a button and a carillon starts playing outside; the girls stop working, leave their station and drink tea/coffee in the canteen; come back and continue their activities.
