The end of De Erfgooiers
Week number 72-02
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
De Erfgooiers, a cooperative society of farmers in Het Gooi, is in danger because their agricultural land and land for cattle is restricted by house-building. The land is usually outside of the village center in a so-called meent (common land). Farmers ride with horse and cart from their farm to the meent and stack hay from the meent in a hay-barn near their farm. A farmer looks at his cows in the shed. With a.o. the buildings of the Oostermeent near Blaricum and Huizen and the still undeveloped Hilversumse Meent, which will soon be half filled with buildings. Also paintings of the Larense school of agriculture and stockbreeding and historical documents of the Erfgooiers.
