Close up of the Dutch baritone Jos Orelio (1854-1926) who would celebrate his 70th birthday on 25 March. This internationally famous opera singer had his glory days between 1894 and 1903 as the most important singer of the Nederlandse Opera (Dutch Opera). The Dutch opera world collapsed almost entirely after that (1903), which caused Orelio to celebrate his birthday without a trace of the Dutch opera atmospehere.
