A mushroom farm is situated 22 meters under the ground in the caves near Valkenburg. SHOTS: - Workers fill big containers with horse's manure; carry the containers away and turn them over at certain places to create breeding grounds (the so-called "beds"); - the mushroom seed is sown by hand in the beds which becomes covered with fungus after a while; - the beds that are covered in fungus are covered with a thin layer of marl; - the mushrooms grow above the layer of marl, are picked and collected in crates; - the crates are taken to a warehouse, weighed and put together.
